He is made of tan skin and enjoys being in sunlight as he grows up. He already has a big, dark, round monolid eyes even as a child. He has a sharp nose. He has an athletic build, muscular and broad. 1992-2004
Born into a middle class working family, he grows up well enough to the point of middle school where everything starts to collapse at his age of twelve. Being left by a father figure since he turned twelve didn’t make life easier for Jae-kyu and his family. His father died after a couple of weeks in coma, sustaining injuries on his vital organ. He really should have died right then if the passersby didn't help him quick enough. One of the eyewitnesses said that he was robbed on the street by a mugger and yes, all of his identity is stolen, making it seem like it’s a robbery. Despite of their family not doing well financially at that time—because he has to take care of two sons who are still young and at school age—he was a good and loving father figure to the family. So to top of it all, his father left a lot of loan behind, particularly on behalf of Hwan Song Sung Pa/H.S.S. Mob—a mob of mafia or kkangpae who ruled South Korea at that time. This lead Jaekyu to believe that his father didn’t actually die of his injuries but rather, the kkangpae’s ploy to take him down.
BACKGROUND STORY
2004-2016
When one of the people from HSS Mob saw the potential in him—which is sharp and observant, he had to choose either he wanted to be a recruit of their ’business’ or having all of his family’s life taken by the mafia. After that, the truth started to reveal itself, the people who killed his father isn’t from HSS Mob, but rather, a high-class organization that’s deep rooted in Gangnam, and the worst part is he doesn’t know who it is yet—the person who killed his father. So of course, he chose the former.
He started out at age 18, fresh and ripe from high school graduation. He attended Yonsei medical school thereafter while at day, and at night he learned how to shoot the target, tricking people into dealing with the pitch-black world of drugs, human trafficking, and organ selling. Eventually, he knew his way around Seoul’s night life at such a young age. It wasn’t the best choice but he had to survive. In all his life, he never viewed death as a profitable choice for him anyway, and he loves his mother and family too much to watch them die. Deep down, he also wants to avenge his father's death, there is no way his father died because of being mugged by a thief on the street. He knew him too well—his father held a black belt in Taekwondo—that he wouldn’t die just because of a small thing like that.
At first he worked as an intern then a resident doctor in Hanshin Group Medical Center for three years, starting when his age was 23, in specialty dealing with house-calls or a visit to a ‘home’ to provide medical care. He was mostly dealing with cleaning up the damage the kkangpae(s) made after ‘war’. He is a skilled general surgeon, being called as a miracle to the medical world by solving cases that was impossible to be done before. His work is always with precise excellency, making him perfect for VIP guests, mostly corrupt politicians and famous celebrities who got into scandal. At first, he doesn’t want to do this line of work, but it’s too late to back down now since he gets all the tuition from his sponsor a.k.a HSS Mob, there’s too much cost to sacrifice, and he’s too afraid.
BACKGROUND STORY
2019-present
In the mid of 2019, he got offered as one of the doctors of Level 14th to a branch of Hanshin Hospital in Gangnam, and not even a month later, he's appointed as the head of the general surgeon since the latest head died of a sudden cardiac arrest, or so they said. He's being skeptical about it for a reason anyway. Nonetheless, he's the youngest doctor to ever be appointed as head of general surgery department.
